5:30 AM–6:00 PM

Welcome to my unconventional morning routine! I usually wake up around quarter to 5 pm. Fighting the urge to hit snooze, I followed my trusty alarm's cue: "You got this."

Before diving into work, I took a refreshing walk to witness the mesmerizing sunset, setting the mood for a productive night ahead.

6:00 PM–7:30 PM

After that alone time, I made sure I ate before I got ready for work. Here’s today’s breakfast! Yes, you read that right—breakfast at 6 pm!

After refueling my body, it's time to transform into the corporate superstar that I am. After choosing the perfect outfit and indulging in some therapeutic makeup, I'm all set to conquer the night.

Thanks to Emerson, the office bag is on the house!

8:00 PM

Since I work on the night shift, there's hardly any traffic.

With no traffic to worry about, I breeze through a 30-minute ride, sipping on my favorite iced coffee. It's my way of getting into the whole corporate employee vibe, ready to seize the night.

8:45 PM

Before I open my laptop, I tidy up my desk oasis, making room for endless productivity. Then I timed in and booked a workstation toll. Today, I am working on the 14th floor.

Every table has two desks and two monitors that we can use to extend and speed up our work.

9:00 PM–12:00 AM

As a proud UTP Class Batch 51 member, I joined the North America AR-Collection Team after a month-long training.  Emails, transactions, and research—my tasks are a thrilling mix.

It includes handling the day-to-day transactions of customers on assigned portfolios, which include payment posting, collecting payments, and researching customers’ invoices. I tackle them strategically, one by one, with unwavering determination.

I usually start by sending emails or completing the most important task, depending on whether our supervisors have instructed us to do so, before moving on to do other tasks one at a time.

12:00 AM–1:30 AM

Lunchtime is never ordinary. Today, my amazing Team Aya and I bid farewell to a tenured member while welcoming fresh faces from UTP Class Batch 53. Instead of taking a nap, I chose to spend my break time bonding with my awesome teammates—friendship is priceless!

1:30 AM–4:00 AM

I spent this afternoon calling Accounts Payable and had two meetings. The first meeting was with the team, and the second one was with my supervisors. Our team leader also gave us some reminders regarding our upcoming team building on the weekend of May 13–14, 2023.

During the meeting with our supervisors, I made suggestions for resolving our web billing issues. We discussed how to provide step-by-step guidelines to help our newly hired employees understand how to resolve web invoices that could not be sent. Following the meeting, I kept working through my queue.

4:00 AM–4:15 AM

Who says coffee breaks can't be exhilarating? Since we were almost done with work, Marriell and I asked permission from our team leader to get some coffee from the pantry.

Thankfully, Emerson offers free coffee, keeping our caffeine cravings at bay!

4:15 AM–6:00 AM

As dawn approached, I pushed through the final stretch of my regular shift. Time flies when you're immersed in meaningful work. If needed, I happily extend my hours until 8 AM when the necessity arises.

6:00 AM

I finished my shift around 6:00 AM, and before heading home, I printed out the approved reimbursement for my internet expenses. I took it to the Admin office on the 12th floor to get it signed.

Can you believe it? Internet fees are actually covered as part of Emerson's benefits!

Before leaving, I made sure everything was in order. With a spotless desk and a sense of accomplishment, I leave it ready for the next workday.

With the internet reimbursement taken care of, it's time to wrap up the day. But first, let me take an office mirror shot of today's OOTD!

6:30 AM

As the day breaks, I embark on my journey home. Since it’s morning, it will take an hour for me to arrive at home.

8:30 AM

Finally, back in the comfort of my own sanctuary! I indulged in a heartwarming cup of milk, soothing my senses, and preparing my body for a tranquil rest. I took a hot bath, did my skincare routine, and put on pajamas before going to bed. The clock reminds me to strive for a full eight hours of sleep, though life's surprises often disrupt those plans. But oh, the sheer delight when I achieve it!
