- Prepares the ophthalmic diagnostic equipment prior physician and patient use.
- Assists the physician during in-facility laser procedures.
- Administers medically prescribed ophthalmic anesthetics and medicines as ordered by a physician.
- Administers intravenous dye for angiography procedures after negative skin test as ordered.
- Administers antihistamine drugs for cases of allergic reaction to intravenous dye as ordered.
- Performs after-care of ophthalmic equipment after each patient use.
- Prepares the sterile supplies and equipment prior surgery procedure.
- Assists the physician in ophthalmic surgery procedures in the operating room.
