Princess Cassiano

I aspire to bring more talents from Mindanao and that they may be bold enough to take on bigger roles outside their comfort zone.

How has being part of a Commercial Development program helped you in your career?

Being part of a Commercial Development program has helped me grow more as a young professional and has given more in depth perspective in various aspects of the business through a wide range of rich experiences, talented inputs from mentors plus the additional “perks” too. Because of this program, I was able to become more agile, more data-driven, and more consumer-centric especially now where we live in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world.

How have you grown from being a part of PMI?

Being a part of PMI has helped me grow professionally and personally. At PMI, your holistic growth matters. Strengths are enhanced while weaknesses are turned into opportunities for growth and development. Back then, I used to shy away from any excel-related item. We all know that’s not possible given the business need. But with the help of my mentors and several projects, I am now able to produce my own dashboards and reports. I was even able to apply what I’ve learned in my own business.

What are your goals and aspirations for the future?

My goal is to maximize all the learnings I can get from my experiences and apply what I’ve learned wherever I may be in hopes of providing a better future not just for myself but for my family as well. In addition, I aspire to bring more talents from Mindanao and that they may be bold enough to take on bigger roles outside their comfort zone.

What is a personal story of yours about your transformation in order to reach an aspiration of yours?

Fresh out of college, I didn’t know where I was headed or what I was going to do. But I mustered all my courage and placed my best foot forward when I went all-in for PMI’s Graduate Trainee program (being the only one from Mindanao). It wasn’t smooth sailing – things were different from what we’re taught in the classroom vs actual real-life business operations – but giving up was never an option. By absorbing what I can, learning from my mistakes, asking more questions, and having mentors & buddies along the way, helped me transform who I am today. Fast forward, I already graduated from the program and I am now creating my own ripples of change as an Area Trade Marketing Executive in Mindanao.
