Sustainability at Security Bank Corporation

SBC created an Environmental and Social Policy Framework, overseen by Sustainability committee to create the Bank’s Environmental and Social Risk Management System (ESRMS) that was designed to identify, assess, and manage environmental and social risks associated with our banking operations. Among the environmental and social issues they are trying to address are: Climate change, Energy, Health and Safety, and Supply chain.

We've made a public announcement and was one of the first to publicly state that we're no longer dealing with companies in the coal industry.

The company is sustainable in terms of saving electricity whenever the rooms are unoccupied, making sure that we save consumption as much as possible.

One of the most major sustainability initiatives of the bank is we are no longer dealing with clients that are into coal mining or other earth damaging industries.

The company have waste segregation, and there's water dispenser in every pantry which encourages everyone to use tumbler rather than buying water bottles. Also, in HR, we are now paperless since are main platform in recruiting is via social media platforms.

As much as possible, we don't use/print too much in the office, every data/documents we have is gathered in shared drive.

Our team barely uses any paper since all transactions are made through email and our hiring system
