Washington SyCip opens W. SyCip & Co., a one-man accounting Firm with a singular vision to be the best and largest in the Philippines.

SGV was founded by the legendary Mr. Washington SyCip in 1946. In the aftermath of the Second World War when Filipinos were preoccupied with rebuilding the country, Washington SyCip, armed with a keen business sense and a vision for the nation, opened a one-man accounting firm at the Trade and Commerce Building in Binondo.

Your role

• Helps the clients transform the IT function and assist in the digitalization of the company.
• Helps companies with their IT strategy and operating models, for the company to take full advantage of technology and provide a competitive advantage for the client in their business operations.
• Helps enable trust in systems design and data, so organizations can take the transformative change and enable innovation with confidence.
• Help enable and transform the digital enterprise, and the way the clients use information to solve their biggest challenges.

Training, development & rotations

The SGV Foundation supported the launch and implementation of EY Ripples, an EY global corporate responsibility program that provides EY professionals with opportunities to use their knowledge, skills, and experience to positively impact millions of lives.

SGV conducted a series of training workshops for SGV volunteers before conducting teaching programs in different schools in Metro Manila. Volunteers taught 6th-grade students about the basics of entrepreneurship and financial management as well as mentored high school students online with financial advice for the JA Business Skills Pass program, where students create and register their own companies.

About you

• Graduates in the following fields, BS Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and other related courses.
• Good Communication and Presentation Skills.
• Critical thinker, uses their creativity to develop new ideas and solutions to problems.
• Can envision the big picture, always looking for the next big idea or opportunity.
• Up to date with the latest tools and trends in emerging technologies and in the industry.
• Willing to learn, able to work independently, and be a part of a team.
• Able to demonstrate integrity, leadership, and teams.
• Willing to go on fieldwork, as necessary.
