Culture at Manila Electric Company (Meralco)

Overall, the company has a very positive and friendly atmosphere. There is definitely a good work-life balance dynamic. We are encouraged to also take breather when we experience an info overload. There is a clear organizational structure and hierarchy, though this did not divide people. The dynamics remained open for collaboration and teamwork. It was very easy to socialize among colleagues as the people in the office are the first to pull you into a conversation.

The company culture is really great. We consider each other as a family here.

My supervisors were really helpful in showing me how the corporate world works. I was able to adapt quickly because of their help.

you can see the respect that the employees have for each other, they wont make you feel that you are below them. they treat you as if your job is important

The company's culture inside and out is very impactful and consistent, the employee hierarchy is respected and the one's who are leading are very humble and caring. I witnessed that first hand when I was invited to a goodbye party for our branch's analyst manager which is also the head of our team, I didn't expect that their bond not only through work but also their team buildings and extracurricular led to a heartfelt goodbye and I am very grateful to be a part of that party and team.

They have a hobby to work until its done.

Within the corporate landscape of Meralco, the hierarchical structure was unmistakably pronounced. Interns bore the weight of heightened expectations, with uncompromising standards for their contributions. However, a striking contrast to this demanding environment was the warmth and amiability exhibited by the other employees. Their friendly and welcoming demeanour served as a beacon of support amid the rigorous expectations.

In the office, when it is work time, everyone is professional doing their work. When break time and after work, we were talking and telling jokes to each other like real colleagues.

They are all professionals during work hours in the office, but when its after hours we just have fun and tell each other stories.

The structure and hierarchy is clear and not bloated. Everyone knows their respective responsibilities. Cooperation and teamwork is a must here. Socializing amongst colleagues is also apparent from top to bottom.
