Training & Personal Development at Oracle Philippines

8.7
8.7 rating for Training, based on 9 reviews
Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
The formal training was quite fast but it did give us an overview of what our actual work would be. In my case I learned more when I was in the practice, doing the actual work, and working on projects.

The Essentials training could have been shortened a bit and allot the extra time for the Buddy-Up training.

There are many kinds of training programs you can take, like programming languages, software development processes, and leadership.

I was actually exhausted by the hours rendered for my on-boarding trainings. Topics were complex and were taught on a tight schedule. CCB is a large system, and for myself to absorb learning from day-to-day training is kinda exhausting. I also think that some presentations were outdated as CCB has better versions nowadays. Groovy should also be part of workshop training.

I appreciate the training and the trainers, they were accommodating and had room To be wrong and improve.

Very hands-on! Employees will not be deployed into the job without proper training (for both hard and soft skills).

Training & overall experience is lacking, not the PH team's fault though. Many processes are complicated and prone to failure, documentation isn't great, it can be hard to ask about questions since most knowledgeable people are in India or the US. As for skills - maybe patience, focus, and attention to work. It takes a long time to do very little things, so you have to make sure you know exactly what you're doing so you don't waste time. I've also done a lot of communication; I probably improved there as well
