Pros & Cons

  • I love the culture and people. I genuinely feel the "Alagang Unilab", because my colleagues are really caring and supportive. They've become my family, and we look after each other pretty well (always asking about how someone's doing and taking the time to help when in need) Another great thing about the company is the workplace environment; it's definitely a bonus to be working in a LEED-certified workplace (so clean and full of nature!)
  • Good working environment and good benefits.
  • Unilab gives a great training ground even among young individuals like me to showcase my talent and hone my skills.
  • I am office-based, and I think introducing more flexibility in our schedules/work hours could enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Not really the worst thing but something that can be improved on. Company can fast track digitization/ automation of some processes and invest on better ergonomic chairs to reduce risk of injuries and strain.
  • Not a competitive salary compared to other big companies.

Have always appreciated our "Alagang Unilab" programs. This is our corporate advocacy program committed to make primary healthcare accessible to communities. As an employee, this is why/how I can claim that "Alaga" or care isn't only shown within the org, but it's also always extended to others in need. We also have the "Malasakit Drive" where we have the chance to work with other company volunteers to run donation drives and ensure impact among Filipino families.

Cliche as it may sound but culture is close to that of a family. We work a lot with different teams since our functions are interdependent. We respect work schedules and have fun after work hours even with our immediate head/ supervisor.

Workplace environment is the best. Apart from being surrounded by nature (which is so calming and inspiring), the facilities are pretty awesome. We have a gym (we call it "66 Fit", high court, restaurant ("Comer"), and coffee shop ("Whole Tree Cafe") inside the Unilab office!

I started in Unilab with just an average salary rate, but after 5 years I could say my pay is much higher. I feel like the pay increased significantly over the years, but I also really worked hard for it. Pay increases are based on your performance.

I feel lucky to be in a company that values my professional growth. The "Unilab Corporate University" paved the way for me to experience many helpful trainings and workshops (internal and external) since I started my journey in Unilab. Even during the pandemic, development opportunities through various online channels were made available.
